Sri Lanka Manpower Sector Roadshow set to be held in Saudi Arabia on May 11 & 14

Sri Lanka Embassy in Riyadh in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLBFE) will be hosting twin mega roadshows in Saudi Arabia on 11 and 14 May 2025 to promote Sri Lankan manpower sector in Saudi Arabia. A high level Sri Lankan manpower sector delegation led by Mr. Kosala Wickramasinghe, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLBFE) which is the regulatory body of the foreign employment in Sri Lanka, comprising top fifteen (15) Sri Lankan manpower supplying agencies, will be visiting Saudi Arabia to participate at these twin roadshows.

The first B2B networking session has been scheduled to be held on Sunday 11th May 2025 at 9.30 am in Riyadh Chamber of Commerce located at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center and the second B2B networking session has been scheduled to be held on Wednesday 14th May 2025 at 9.30 am in the AlSharqiya Chamber in Dammam.

Briefing the media on the twin Sri Lanka manpower sector roadshows, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Ameer Ajwad highlighted that the key objective of these roadshows is to explore non-domestic sector employment opportunities for Sri Lankans in Saudi Arabia. Ambassador further stated that Sri Lanka supply quality manpower of skilled, semi-skilled and professional categories that are ready to meet the requirements of countries seeking such expertise. Given Saudi Arabia has embarked on an ambitious Vision 2030 and the ongoing numerous mega and giga development projects under this framework, Sri Lankan skilled manpower sector is well poised to cater to the manpower requirements of Saudi Arabia in particular for the most demanding sectors such as construction, health care, hospitality, tourism, agriculture and IT, etc.

Ambassador Ameer Ajwad extended invitation to all Saudi stakeholders who are interested in recruiting skilled manpower from Sri Lanka to make use of this opportunity and meet with the visiting Sri Lankan top manpower supplying agencies in the the two aforementioned venues with a view to establishing B2B collaborations in this promising sector. Ambassador also expressed his sincere appreciation to the Riyadh Chamber and Al-Sharqiya Chamber as well as the Saudi Federation of Chambers for their unwavering support and the pivotal role in facilitating private sector interactions to enhance bilateral economic cooperation between Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia.
