Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ameer Ajwad, together with Acting Consul General Mafusa Lafir, conducted an inspection of the ongoing preparations in Mina for Sri Lankan pilgrims ahead of Hajj 2026.

During the visit to Mina on 3 May 2026, the Ambassador reviewed the operational arrangements of the Mina sites with Rehlat Wa Manafae, the official Hajj Service Provider (SPC) for the 3,500 Sri Lankan pilgrims performing Hajj in 2026.

The visit underscores the continued commitment of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh and the Consulate General of Sri Lanka in Jeddah to work closely with the Saudi authorities, service partners, the Sri Lanka Hajj Mission, and Hajj operators to further enhance and improve the overall Hajj experience for all Sri Lankan pilgrims.
