Message from H.E. Omar Lebbe Ameer Ajwad Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the Occasion of Saudi Founding Day

I am pleased to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes to the visionary leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its friendly people on the occasion of Saudi Founding Day. This cherished national event reflects the Kingdom’s deep-rooted history, rich cultural and civilizational heritage, and outstanding achievements. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plays a vital global role in promoting humanitarian values, social cohesion, multilateralism, peace and prosperity.

Celebrations of the Saudi Founding Day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also coincides with the celebrations of the 77th Anniversary of Sri Lanka’s Independence this month and the 50th Anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Sri Lanka and Saudi Arabia. Sri Lanka shares the objectives of the Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and wishes to partner with in all its aspects and grow together. To this end, both countries are well poised to synergise and forge partnerships by establishing collaborative ventures in all the areas of mutual interest.

I take this opportunity to extend my best wishes to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, wishing them good health and well-being, and to the friendly people of Saudi Arabia, further progress and prosperity in the years ahead.
